Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has backed Alexis Sanchez to improve on his debut campaign and swoop all the individual awards next season as we aim to clinch the title for the first time in over a decade.
Speaking at The Sun’s Dream Team Q&A, Henry spoke in front of a selection of fans, and it’s nice to see that he has his Arsenal bias intact before the new campaign.
Henry: “I think player of the season this season will be Alexis Sanchez.”

Alexis netted 25 times in all competitions last season, predominantly operating from the left-wing. If he can improve his level this term, it will be very difficult to contain the Chilean.
Coming off an extended break due to his successful summer – the 26-year-old lifting the Copa America on home soil after scoring the winning penalty – it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him hit the ground running, despite being absent for pre-season.

While the calls for Arsene Wenger to sign a striker persist, spreading the goals around the forward line may become vital to sustaining a title challenge.
Alexis will definitely score goals next season, and if he gets close to last season’s tally once again then he will have certainly done his job – aiding us in our title bid in the process.
