Charlton fans seem absolutely besotted with Yaya Sanogo, and the Frenchman followed up his recent hat-trick with an influential performance against Brentford.
He may not have gotten a goal during his side’s 2-1 win, but he assisted Callum Harriott’s first goal and played a major role in their victory.
The fans can be heard cheering his name after the game, and Sanogo clearly loved every minute of it. He thanked them for their adoration and threw his shirt into the crowd, and will be hoping to have a similar impact during the rest of his stay at the club.

Hearing supporters singing his praises probably isn’t something he’s used to, as he’s really struggled recently. He struggled at Arsenal before being sent out on loan, first to Crystal Palace and then to Ajax. He failed miserably with both, particularly at Ajax where he barely featured.

It’s hard to see him having any kind of future at Arsenal, but perhaps he’ll shock us all and evolve into a top quality striker. At 23-years-old he still has plenty of time to improve, and although doing a job at Charlton is a far cry from succeeding in the Premier League, this could give him a much needed confidence boost.
