The Arsenal manager maintains that there are plenty of options to play the position including Carl Jenkinson, Laurent Koscielny, Johan Djourou and even new signing Andre Santos.
Wenger said on the situation around the right of defence to Arsenal Player:
We have Jenkinson, we have Koscielny – who has been educated as a right-back – we have Djourou who can play right-back.
Koscielny was always a right-back, so he can play there.
Even (Andre) Santos can play there, I think, so we have plenty of possibilities.
It’s more down to Jenkinson because Coquelin has never been at ease as a right-back player.

He is not somebody who likes to play at right-back and his confidence is not high when he plays right-back.
With Jenkinson’s positioning exposed on numerous occasions in the dreadful loss to Manchester United, you can’t help but feel anxious about Jenkinson’s probable start against Sunderland at the weekend. What do you guys think? Should Jenkinson be starting? Or would you prefer another line-up in defence? Feel free to leave a comment below.
