While the gunners had much of the ball in the match, Wenger feels that it wasn’t really efficient or threatening, as Arsenal never really got creative considering the amount of ball they had.
Wenger is quoted as saying on the official Arsenal.com website:
It is difficult to explain because we prepared as usual. Maybe we sensed it would be easier than usual and once you have that in your heads it is difficult to come back to reality.
We got a reality check. I just believe that our performance was not at the level we have recently produced.
I feel we did not create enough with the time we had on the ball. It was all visual but not really efficient. It is disappointing to lose a game like this.
If you do not win you at least want to make a draw, you do not make the mistakes we made. We have some time to recover now and produce a decent performance [against Manchester City] on Sunday.
After suffering their first defeat in eight Premier League outings, Wenger has issued a warning to upcoming opponents Manchester City that they will not have the luxury of facing the same Arsenal side.

Drawing heart from Arsenal’s previous similar experiences this season, Wenger is hopeful that Arsenal can bounce-back yet again to upset the title contenders.
Wenger is quoted as saying to reporters by Goal.com:
It’s a good opportunity to put things right again, of course.
I believe that we will see a different Arsenal on Sunday but I can tell you as well that it will be needed.
We have played well against the top teams and that is our target again. We know how to respond, as we have been exposed to this situation before this season.
I’ve said many times we have to stay humble and focused and I feel that the focus was missing a little bit.
You cannot lose the game in the way we did. They take the ball, they put it in the top corner, you accept it.
But the way we gave the ball away, I felt we lacked something and we cannot deny that.
To put it bluntly, the usual solid Vermaelen had the worst performance of his season last weekend being producing two critical mistakes which led to both QPR goals. If we are to win he will have to perform at his usual best alongside Koscielny, along with our whole back five. Furthermore hopefully the likes of Rosicky and Song are able to create some attacking spark in the front third of the pitch for Arsenal talisman Robin van Persie to feed off! The likes of Joe Hart and Vincent Kompany won’t be able to be unlocked easily.
