We are apparently looking to bring Everton’s James McCarthy to the Emirates this summer, although face competition from a number of other Premier League teams, according to the Daily Mail.

McCarthy only joined Everton at the start of last season, following manager Roberto Martinez from Wigan for £13m.
He is exactly the kind of player we need, although there are arguably far better options out there.
The 24-year-old may represent a significantly cheaper alternative to some of our other reported targets. Although With our finances in the shape they are currently, we should be looking to get the best our money can buy us.
