We have recently been linked with a £17.9m move for Jose Callejon, with the Napoli winger seemingly set for a Serie A exit this summer, as reported by the Metro.
Alexis Sanchez produced a huge number of goals from the wing, but our options if the Chilean were to be rested or injured are limited. Callejon has scored 32 goals in two seasons at Napoli from a wide position, and could certainly add something to our side.
A recent report from Italian publication Sport Mediaset suggests we would have to pay closer to £25m, but it also claims the Spaniard is keen on a move to the Premier League – and Arsenal in particular.
“Callejon could open the doors to the Premier league. The Spaniard in fact likes Arsenal, which De Laurentiis asked £25million for. This will be discussed in the coming days,” read a report from Sport Mediaset.
We could arguably do better than the 28-year-old Real Madrid reject, but he certainly wouldn’t be the worst signing in the world.

You would suspect signings are needed if we want to challenge Chelsea and Manchester City for the title, and our Premier League opposition have already begun strengthening.
Is Callejon the player we need though? I’m not convinced.
