It’s bad enough that Arturo Vidal rejected our alleged advances (via the Mirror), but now he’s looking to block our move for Juventus youngster Kingsley Coman, as reported by the Express.
The Express’ report claims Arsene Wenger is keen on the pacy winger, but insists that we could lose out to Bayern Munich – the club Vidal joined for £28m this summer (via the Daily Mail).
The Bundesliga giants have apparently made an £11m bid already (via the Express), but have seen their advances rebuffed. Vidal is hopeful that his new side will go back in for the 19-year-old though, and lavished praise on the French star.
“Coman isn’t just young and quick,” Vidal said (via the Express).
“He’s also a great player in terms of his quality.
“He has tremendous potential for improvement, and if he were to follow me here it’d be a big help for Bayern.”

Wenger was apparently hoping to bring Coman to the club on a season long loan (via the Express), but it seems Juventus aren’t keen on offloading him.

We are lacking wide options at the club, and the manager insists on repeatedly deploying midfield players on the flanks. This is detrimental to our success, so bringing a player like Coman to the side could be an excellent move.
