Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been heavily linked with a summer switch to Arsenal (via the Express), and the Swede has now confirmed that he’ll be leaving PSG at the end of the season, as reported by beIN sports.
Despite being 34-years-old, Ibrahimovic is still a top quality striker. He scored four times during his side’s dominant 9-0 win over Troyes this past Sunday, including a hugely impressive nine minute hat-trick.
After the game he confirmed that he’d be leaving Paris at the end of the campaign, which unquestionably opens the door for Arsenal.
“For the moment, I will not be at PSG next season. I still have a month and a half left here,” he said.
“If they replace the Eiffel Tower with a statue of me, then I will stay. I promise.”
Whether Arsene Wenger is actually interested or not is a totally different matter, but it certainly seems like he’ll be on the move very soon.

He hasn’t got many years left at the top level, but at the moment he’s still scoring with regularity. He’s already bagged over 30 goals this season, a feat he’s achieved regularly over the course of his lengthy career. This is exactly what we need, and regardless of his controversial nature, we can’t ignore him as a potential target.
The fact that he favours a move to Arsenal over any other Premier League club (via the Express) is as good as a come and get me plea, and if the price is right – wage wise – we really should be doing everything we can to secure his signature.
Arsenal transfer news
After the season we’ve had, Wenger (or his successor) really needs to be active this summer, and if we don’t make a number of top quality signings we risk falling further behind in every area.
