Mario Götze has been linked with a move away from Bayern Munich this summer, with the World Cup winner’s relationship with Bayern boss Pep Guardiola deteriorating recently (via the Express). And things have further soured between the German international and his manager, with Götze looking closer than ever to an exit, as reported by the Express.
The 23-year-old was one of the most talented young footballers in the game a couple of years ago, and Bayern looked to have got themselves a real gem when they signed him from Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund for £32m (via Sky Sports). He has found himself out in the cold under Guardiola however, and if the German giants aren’t careful they could see the gem slip from their grasp.
As the report suggests, we are among a number of teams chasing his signature, so need to move quickly. Götze’s versatility would make him a fantastic signing, as he can not only play in a variety of midfield positions, but as a false 9 as well.
Götze has once again vocalised his issues with Guardiola, and claims that if the Spaniard doesn’t do something to remedy the situation, then he’ll be heading for the exit door.
“The last two years were definitely not very simple, we’ll see what happens,” he said (via the Express).
“It will work out if Guardiola talks to me more often. I’m going to let everything come to me. Anything beyond that, we’ll see.”

Arsenal transfer news
He may not be the world class out and out forward we need, but it would be hard to turn down Götze if the opportunity to sign him arose. We are facing competition from Manchester United (via the Express), but if Arsene Wenger wants the World Cup hero then we are more than capable of competing.
