It’s still unclear whether or not Jamie Vardy’s transfer to Arsenal will go through, and at the very least it looks as though we’ll have to wait until after the Euros to see a conclusion to this saga. With that in mind we’ve taken a look at some striker alternatives for the Leicester City star, with eight options for Arsene Wenger to look at if he doesn’t get Vardy.

We’ve ignored the likes of Luis Suarez, Robert Lewandowski, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who appear to be out of our reach for one reason or another at the moment, looking at generally attainable and realistic transfer targets.
8) Zlatan Ibrahimovic
We’ve included Ibrahimovic at number eight purely because it seems like he’s practically a Manchester United player already (via The Telegraph) so it seems like we’ve already missed out on him, but until he officially signs for the Red Devils Arsene Wenger could still move for the Swede. There are a number of problems with a potential Ibrahimovic transfer, but you can’t deny his quality – even at 34-years-old.

7) Vincent Janssen
We were rather tenuously linked with the Dutch striker recently (via the Metro), but those reports have dried up. He certainly wouldn’t be the big name striker signing most Arsenal fans want to see, but with 27 league goals this season and at just 21-years-old, he could prove to be a real bargain.
