Arsenal announced on Wednesday that Abou Diaby had been released after his nine-year stay and it seems as though the Frenchman has his destination lined up already with reports suggesting that a move to MLS side FC Dallas is close, according to France Football.
The report suggests that Diaby is currently in Dallas with negotiations to take him to the MLS side at an ‘advanced’ stage in a move which will undoubtedly be welcomed by a large number of Arsenal fans.
Diaby’s career with us was riddled with injuries, with the 29-year-old featuring just twice for the first team in a competitive game since March 2013.

Despite showing flashes of his brilliance, Diaby never fully recovered from the broken ankle he suffered against Sunderland on May 2006.
Dan Smith will forever be labelled as the man who practically ended the Frenchman’s career with a horrendous challenge, which justifies the strict rules currently in place regarding reckless tackles in the Premier League.
