Alexandre Lacazette is undergoing his medical at Arsenal today ahead of an expected club-record transfer from Ligue 1 side, Lyon (via Sky Sports).
This could well be an excellent summer for Arsenal as the Gunners close in on their second first-team signing before a ball has even been kicked.
Sead Kolsainac trained with the club for the first time this week and it seems that he could soon be joined by another new arrival, Alexandre Lacazette.
Reports indicated last week that Arsenal were close to agreeing on a deal with the player’s club, Lyon, and now it seems that things are progressing quickly.
It has been widely reported that Lacazette is in North London and has today undergone his medical at Arsenal before his move from the Ligue 1 side.
Lacazette got 37 goals for Lyon last season and after having a £39 million offer rejected by Lyon last week, the Gunners are believed to have gone in with another bid which would surpass the club record fee.

It’s great to see Arsenal go out and be proactive in the transfer market. The Gunners have needed a top quality striker for a number of seasons and few players can rival Alexandre Lacazette’s goalscoring rate in the last few years. Hopefully, the Frenchman will adapt quickly to English football and we can finally see what he can do firsthand.
