Alexis Sanchez has spoken about his future at Arsenal, insisting that he is happy at the club. The Chilean is in very public contract negotiations with the club but has insisted that he is happy in London and wants to win trophies with the club (via The Daily Star).
Amid the row over his substitution strop, public contract negotiations and allegations of tax fraud, Alexis Sanchez is rarely out of the spotlight these days. In an interview with Arsenal Player, the Chilean has said he feels important at the club and suggested that he would like to remain in North London.
“I feel really happy and comfortable at the club. I want to give the fans a new title,” Sanchez said.
“I definitely feel like an important player and my team-mates let me know every day. I try to prove I am an important player every day and game after game.
“I believe we have the players and the quality to win many things.
“We always get our fans’ support in the thick and thin.

“We must win the Premier League or Champions League for them.”
This interview seems to bode well for Arsenal fans. Sanchez is obviously a huge part of the club and the fact that he hasn’t yet agreed to a new contract is worrying. With his current deal expiring in 2018, the Chilean seems happy in North London and enjoys being a key player at the club. Hopefully, Sanchez will put this into writing in the coming weeks.
