Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez has urged his side to not give up ahead of the Chelsea tie despite dropping three valuable points in midweek against Watford in the 2-1 loss at Emirate Stadium.
The Gunners head south to SW6 for todays 12:30pm kick-off at Stamford Bridge and will need to bounce back after a disastrous Tuesday night that saw them drop nine points behind league-leaders Chelsea.
Sanchez cut a frustrated figure in the loss and continually tried to make something happen, but was unable to inspire an all-to-familiar comeback. The Chilean has issued a rallying cry to his fellow Gunners to not give up when the going has gotten tough.
Predicted Lineup – Sanchez to be restored up front?
The forward took to Instagram:
“Do not give up just because things got tough,” he captioned.

Arsenal need the best from Sanchez today and hopefully we should see him up front leading the line as it clearly impacts the way and the fluency of Arsene Wenger’s side. The Gunners need his desire and passion to spark a massive result that could influence the title race this season.
Deja Vu? Ozil on Barcelona’s hit-list
The stats don’t look good. The Gunners have lost their last four matches at Stamford Bridge, conceding 12 goals and scoring just one, however Arsenal’s emphatic 3-0 win last year at Emirates ended a 10-game hoodoo. Sanchez was integral for that tie and with the Chilean firing today it’s time for Arsenal to step up and prove they can change the course of this season.
