Arsene Wenger has suggested Alexis Sanchez could start against Leicester City on Tuesday night as the Gunners look to forget their loss 2-1 Derby loss to North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
The Gunners managed to cope without their star man Alexis last week when they brushed aside Aston Villa 5-0, and Wenger had hoped they could repeat the performance against Spurs but he was sorely missed.
Arsenal need to get back to winning ways on Tuesday night and with the help of their top scorer the task will be made all that much easier.
Wenger confirmed Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will still be short but there is a strong indication that Alexis will be involved in some capacity against the Foxes.
The Arsenal boss told the media after Saturday’s disappointing loss:
Chamberlain is out, the only one who has a chance to be on the bench or to start maybe is Sanchez.
Arsenal are sitting in sixth place and must produce a quick response on Tuesday night. If Alexis is fit it’ll be a massive boost, we missed his ability to create chances out of nothing and the consistent pressure he applies on his opponents.

However one of the biggest disappointments from Saturday was more the defensive side of the Gunners performance. Certainly the attack was toothless on plenty of occasions, but our inability to clear the ball and retain possession was frustrating. This is where we must improve tomorrow.
