Arsenal require a quick response after Saturday’s lackluster performance away to the Spuds and luckily host bottom of the table Leicester City at Emirates this evening.
We could see a few changes made as Arsene Wenger looks to rekindle the recent form that has been cause for optimism in 2015, with Keiran Gibbs and potentially Calum Chambers coming back into the defence. Hector Bellerin has been very good of late, equally for Nacho Monreal, but Wenger needs to utilize his squad and keep it fresh with plenty of matches in the horizon.
In midfield, I can’t really see the boss making any more changes. Francis Coquelin and Aaron Ramsey are the obvious candidates however Tomas Rosicky is also a viable option. Further forward Santi Cazorla will hopefully be awarded an opportunity to rediscover the form that earned him back to back Player of the Month awards.
Newly fit Alexis Sanchez comes straight back into the side, most likely at the expense of Danny Welbeck leaving Mesut Ozil on the left. We may finally see the German link up with Alexis for the first time since October. Exciting stuff.
Olivier Giroud was solid against Spurs in his hold up play and will spearhead the attack once more.
