We enjoyed a fantastic Emirates Cup weekend, lifting the trophy for the first time since 2010 following victories over Lyon and VfL Wolfsburg. There were a lot of positives to be taken, but one of the major ones – and arguably the surprise of the tournament – was young Frenchman Jeff Reine-Adelaide.
Not a lot was expected of the youngster, and it was therefore a shock that he was so hugely impressive against Wolfsburg in particular.
Here are six things you should know about young Reine-Adelaide:
6) He came from Lens
The Emirates Cup star was signed from Lens this summer, with the star coming through the Ligue 2 side’s academy. He never managed to break into the senior team though – how is a total mystery – and consequently made the move to Arsenal.
