The player who obviously stands to lose the most is Theo Walcott, who could be on his way out of the Emirates if Sterling were to arrive – perhaps even to Liverpool as part of a swap deal, moots the Metro.
Walcott is allegedly stalling on a deal of his own (via the Daily Mail), and with just over a year remaining on his current contract, has been tipped to leave the club this summer.
His consistent injury woes and his inability to cement a spot in the team since his return will do him no favours either.

Similarly, Serge Gnabry and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain may also find game time hard to come by if the 20-year-old England international makes the move to North London, with both players operating in a similar role.
The Ox may find some joy being converted to play more of a central role, but Gnabry would more than likely see his first-team chances far more limited – as like Sterling – he thrives in wide attacking roles.
There are a few players who may benefit however, such as record signing Mesut Özil. The German playmaker thrives off pacey players who look to run in behind the defence. Walcott is one such player, but he has been criticised for being far too one dimensional. Sterling would offer far more versatility than his older compatriot, and would no doubt prosper through the creativity and passing ability of Özil.
It’s difficult to see a deal to bring Sterling to Arsenal being done at this point, but if we did break the bank to sign the young star then it would be a real signal of intent.
What do you think, Gooners?
