Arsenal have reportedly rejected a bid for £16 million for Calum Chambers from Crystal Palace, and want £20m for the defender.
According to the Telegraph, the two clubs could still come to a compromise with negotiations continuing over a move.
Arsenal desperately need to trim their squad this summer and Chambers could well be set to exit after spending last season on loan at Middlesbrough.
With Laurent Koscielny, Shkodran Mustafi, Rob Holding and Gabriel all ahead of Chambers in the pecking order at Arsenal, there looks little chance of him seeing regular football next season.
Arsenal appear keen to sell Chambers, rather than send him out on loan again, and a move across London to Palace could well suit the 22-year-old.
The report also claims Arsenal are willing to allow Kieran Gibbs, Mathieu Debuchy, Carl Jenkinson, Jack Wilshere, and Lucas Perez to leave this summer, as they attempt to reduce their wage bill.

Gibbs’ time at the club looks over following the arrival of Sead Kolasinac, while Debuchy and Jenkinson were widely tipped to leave in January, and look to be on the market again.
Elsewhere, Wilshere is still on the comeback trail after fracturing a leg towards the end of last season, and Serie A side Sampdoria have been linked.
Lucas Perez has also been tipped to leave for some time now, but Deportivo recently all but ruled out a move, and it’s all gone quiet on the rumour front for him at the moment.
