WE WON IT! WE WON IT! WE WON IT!
Among all the stupid cliches from the commentators, a phrase “it was a game of two halves” deserves a special mention but it’s hard to find one that could better describe our trophy-winning performance today.
Lukasz Fabianski | 6.0: In his very last game for Arsenal didn’t impress but made a crucial save of Aluko’s long shot at the end of the game. He was the real hero of our FA Cup campaign with number of crucial saves against Liverpool and Wigan so it’s hard to say if there is anyone who deserve a winner-medal more than he did. Don’t go, Lukasz!

Bacary Sagna | 7.0: Involved in our second goal. Don’t go, Bac!
Per Mertesacker | 5.5: Almost did a Steven Gerrard at the end and gave a huge chance on a silver plate for Aluko to equalize but the Hull striker didn’t find the net from a tight angle. Didn’t react well at set-pieces.
Laurent Koscielny | 7.0: Scored a huge goal again. Our defensive rock.
Kieran Gibbs | 7.0: He could have spared us of extra-time but I forgive him after saving our bottoms at 2:0 when he cleared Bruce’s shot off the line. Gave width to our attack.
Mikel Arteta | 6.5: Didn’t impose himself, pretty much like none of his team-mates had done.
Aaron Ramsey | 7.5 (MoTM): For most of the match it was not even a good performance from the world-class Welshman who couldn’t find a proper shot before extra-time and his passes went everywhere. As the time went by, the level of his game was consistently raising and it culminated with a perfect finish after Giroud’s brilliant pass. I wouldn’t trade him for Yaya Toure nor any other midfielder in the world!
Mesut Özil | 5.5: Was poor today. Still, he gave a huge contribution in our FA Cup campaign and we are yet to see the best from him.
Santi Cazorla | 7.0: Scored his first free-kick for Arsenal and took the corner after which we equalized. He was also unlucky not to earn at least one penalty.
Lukas Podolski | 5.0: He was totally invisible today. Still, he was our joint top-scorer in the competition with three goals including a heavy right-footed finish against Liverpool.
Olivier Giroud | 7.5: He had been terrible at the beginning but later he improved and was unlucky not to score himself. Gave a brilliant back-heel pass for Ramsey’s decider.
Substitutes:
Yaya Sanogo | 7.25: He gave Giroud more space to operate with and was very unlucky not to score at least once or to grab an assist to his name.
Tomas Rosicky | 7.0: Injected energy in his 15-minute-cameo. His goals against Spuds in the two competitions were great.
Jack Wilshere | 7.0: It’s great to see him back. Had a fine combination with Rosicky. Perhaps Jack will lift some FA Cup trophies as a club captain as well?
