Arsenal v Burnley
Barclays Premier League
Kick off: November 1, 2014 15.00 PM BST
It was a dominant performance from our team and it was only a matter of time when we would break the deadlock. Alexis Sánchez gave another superstar-performance and became the quickest Wenger signing to reach ten goals in all competitions. It’s rather shocking that it was the first home victory since the opening day of the season but it was just what the doctor ordered after three consecutive home draws. Here are the ratings from the game.
Wojciech Szczesny | 7.5: The Pole gave a fine performance. He did just what he had to do on rare occasions when he was tested and kept a clean sheet for the second time in a row.
Calum Chambers | 8.5: An excellent performance from the Englishman who would have drawn all the praise if we hadn’t had Alexis. He capped his performance with his very first goal in an Arsenal shirt and added an assist. Unfortunately, a lack of time prevented me from promoting him from the bench in my Fantasy Football team. Good work, Josif, really good work (Editor: Matt did though :-p)
Per Mertesacker | 7.5: Made a crucial tackle to deny the visitors and kept the defence well-organized throughout the game. He was also dangerous in the second half in front of the opponents’ goal.
Nacho Monreal | 7.5: Had another fine game playing out of position.

Kieran Gibbs | 8.0: Dangerous down the flank as always. He is one of the best in the league in his position. Created a goal.
Mikel Arteta | 6.5: It was a dominant performance from our team but it’s true that we started to look more dangerous after he’d been replaced by Aaron Ramsey. Had a poor shot going over the bar in the second half.
Mathieu Flamini | 6.5: The Flame didn’t excel today but we didn’t concede so it was a good afternoon for him after all.
Santi Cazorla | 7.0: He was constantly dangerous for the opponents but it’s getting ridiculous what he has been missing in front of the opponents’ goal lately. He should have nailed at least two goals today but it wasn’t meant to be. Was too casual with his second attempt. Apart from his finishing, he did well.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain | 7.0: He was a menace down the flank but his pace and constant drilling down the right side weren’t rewarded with a proper final product.
Alexis Sánchez | 10.0: Perfect performance from the Chilean. It’s incredible how he doesn’t leave any ball to the defenders. He scored two goals and was constantly troubling his markers. A world-class player, a head and shoulders over the opponents.
Danny Welbeck | 7.0: How he didn’t score today is a mistery. His performance was like that joke when a Bosnian teaches his little son to swim. “There you go, son… Fine… Fine… It goes just fine… Oh, fuck it!”
Aaron Ramsey | 7.0: Added more energy to our attack and urgency in the midfield. Made a great attempt from the outside of the area but Heaton denied him with a great save.
Theo Walcott | 6.5: Wasn’t on the pitch long enough to show his quality but he will be a great asset.
Lukas Podolski | 6.5: Could have scored a perfect volley but was denied by the post. He might be The Super-Sub Poldi for us this term.
