Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil has been included in the Premier League’s top ten highest paid players list alongside the best players in the division, the Daily Mail reports.
Ozil joined us from Real Madrid in 2013 for a club-record fee (via BBC Sport) in a deal which completely smashed the financial shackles that were previously placed on us following our move to the Emirates Stadium.
The German wizard is the only Arsenal player who makes the top ten with the report claiming that he earns £190,000 per week, before making any tax deductions.
Ozil is placed ahead of the likes of Raheem Sterling, John Terry, and former Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas. Interestingly, Alexis Sanchez isn’t included in the list despite the Daily Mail previously reporting that the Chilean was on-par with Ozil in terms of wages.
