Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin didn’t travel with the squad to Zagreb after Arsene Wenger decided to rest the Spaniard along with Aaron Ramsey ahead of this weekend’s London derby against Chelsea (via the Daily Mail).
However, Bellerin took to Instagram in order wish the team luck as we prepare for our opening Champions League fixture against Dinamo Zagreb.
Bellerin made his name in a similar fixture 12 months ago with an injury crisis to our defence forcing Wenger to name a 19-year-old in our starting XI for his first Champions League fixture at Borussia Dortmund.
Now 20, Bellerin has been on a sensational journey and is easily one of the brightest prospects in Europe, becoming an integral part of how our team functions.
Arsenal news & rumours
Wenger’s habit of playing one central midfielder on the wing means that Bellerin usually provides the width down our right-hand side, a crucial component to our attacking play when breaking down a team intent on leaving the Emirates Stadium with a point.
