Reports in Germany suggest that Arsenal have agreed on a bumper salary to sign Borussia Dortmund’s scout, Sven Mislintat (via Sport Witness).
Despite winning on the pitch over the weekend, the reconstruction of Arsenal behind the scenes seems to be continuing.
The Gunners have already brought in a new fitness coach, a new coach, appointed a new academy chief and a new transfer negotiator in the last few months.
Now, it seems that they have agreed on a pricey deal to sign Borussia Dortmund’s chief scout, Sven Mislintat.
We reported last week that the German is highly respected and credited with many of the Bundesliga side’s stellar signings in recent years including Robert Lewandowski, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ousmane Dembele.

German publication, Bild is reporting that the Gunners are ready to pay Mislintat €1.8 million per year in salary as well as €2 to Dortmund to buy out his contract.
It’s clear that Arsenal need to be better and smarter in the transfer market and Sven Mislintat’s record speaks for itself. Perhaps the “catalyst for change” comments made by Ivan Gazidis last season had some truth in them after all.
