Arsenal have reportedly beaten Manchester City to the signing of 17-year-old starlet Ismael Bennacer who is set to sign a five-year deal with us, according to L’Equipe.
Bennacer seemed set to join the former Premier League champions, but it appears as though we have stolen a march on them and lured the youngster to north London.
Currently plying his trade in Ligue 2 with Arles, Bennacer has been described as a creative midfielder and we’re set to pay £150,000 in compensation for his services (via the Metro).
Arsene Wenger’s constant attention towards the future shows just how much he cares about our club and it seems as though the boss has regained his habit of poaching talent from his home country.
