Layvin Kurzawa is a reported transfer target of ours this summer, and things have just been made easier after the Frenchman handed in a transfer request to current club AS Monaco, as reported by the Metro.
Kurzawa has been superb in Ligue 1 this season, and has been one of the standout performers in a solid Monaco side.
The 22-year-old has aspirations above and beyond the French side however, and the Metro believe he could be on the way out after requesting a move.
The report goes on to suggest that we are planning a bid in the coming weeks, although with our current options at left-back, do we really need him?
Kieran Gibbs is a fantastic left-back, but he has been unable to get into the team due to the fine form of Nacho Monreal. The Spaniard has been excellent this season, and even performed well at centre-back during our injury plagued start to the season.

One of them would presumably have to make way if Kurzawa were to arrive, as Wenger is unlikely to want three left-backs at the club simultaneously.
There are certainly other areas we should be focusing on strengthening this summer, and the full-back positions should really be the least of our concerns.
