Arsenal have been given a huge boost ahead of Saturday’s clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford with a report the hosts could be without as many as seven first-team regulars for the game.
Striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is definitely out of the match due to suspension, having picked up a fifth yellow card of the season against Swansea, while Eric Bailly and Chris Smalling are also ruled out due to injury.
However, The Telegraph report that Jose Mourinho could also be without defenders Antonio Valencia and Luke Shaw, midfielder Marouane Fellaini and skipper Wayne Rooney.
Rooney has a knee problem which forced him to withdraw from the England squad for Tuesday’s friendly with Spain at Wembley and is rated as doubtful for Sunday.
Meanwhile, Fellaini reportedly is struggling to shake off a calf problem picked up in the victory over Swansea City and could miss out against the Gunners.
Luke Shaw could feature but is having pains in his right leg, which he broke last season, and will continue to be assessed ahead of the game.

Likewise Antonio Valencia is close to fitness having made a swifter than expected recovery from a broken arm but the game may come too soon for the defender.
Arsenal too have injury problems going into the game with Hector Bellerin a doubt while Alexis Sanchez’s fitness is also some concern with the Chilean expected to play against Uruguay on Tuesday.
However, United’s news should boost Arsenal who have a poor record at Old Trafford in the Premier League but go into the game already six points ahead of Jose Mourinho’s men.
