The Gunners could reportedly land Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal this summer, with major transfer rivals Real Madrid now having pulled out of the race to sign the Chilean international.

According to reports in the Spanish press – most notably from Marca – Madrid were unimpressed with Vidal’s actions off the pitch earlier this week, which saw him arrested after crashing his Ferrari. He was reportedly under the influence of alcohol at the time.
However, everybody makes mistakes, and no doubt Arsene Wenger and co. will be confident of setting him back on the straight and narrow.
Vidal could jump at the chance to join up with international teammate Alexis Sanchez, and the calming influence of his close friend would hopefully prevent a similar incident happening again in the future.
The 28-year-old would certainly be a fantastic addition to our squad, as we look to put together a side capable of challenging for the Premier League title.

The highly-rated midfielder would provide stark competition for Francis Coquelin in the ‘anchor man’ role, while he could also be used alongside the Frenchman in a slightly more advanced position.
