Arsene Wenger is reportedly ‘in love’ with Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, which has fueled speculation regarding a potential move for the striker, according to German-based reporter Jan Aage Fjortoft.

According to the reporter, Dortmund insists that their star striker isn’t for sale, despite previous reports suggesting that we were set to submit a £28.8million offer for the speedster (via talkSPORT).
Following Jurgen Klopp’s departure at the end of last season, it was predicted that there would be a mass exodus out of the Westfalenstadion, but that hasn’t transpired.
Neven Subotic and Ilkay Gundogan have both signed new contracts and it seems as though the Bundesliga club is intent on keeping its best players.

A move for Aubameyang would be rather odd on our part given that he’s yet to prove himself as an elite striker in Europe despite his raw ability.
The Gabon forward is very similar to Danny Welbeck in his style of play and one would imagine that Wenger would want a more established forward if he’s to add another option in that department.
