Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is delighted with the firepower available to him and he has claimed that he’s able to “smell” the goals within the squad.
Scoring four past Liverpool isn’t easy and, on second viewing, the scoreline could’ve been more embarrassing for the Reds had we taken full advantage of our dominance in the opening minutes.
With two of our players among the Premier League’s elite in terms of goalscoring, in Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud, goals are certainly not hard to come by for the boss.

“You smell that we can score goals,” the boss told Arsenal.com.
“If you look at the number of goals we’ve scored now (62 from 31 league games), that’s quite good with seven games to go.

“We have a good mentality and good cohesion in the team. There is something happening. That shows you that they are ready to fight for each other. You can see that – you can’t cheat on that.”
Given the attacking talents in our squad, the fact that they are producing a high volume of goals might seem rational to some, but we were struggling in that department earlier on this season.
Wenger’s weird obsession with a 4-1-4-1 formation might have had something to do with that, but since the return of Mesut Ozil in his favoured role, the balance of the team looks immaculate.
