Hector Bellerin was somewhat surprisingly left out of our opening day defeat to West Ham, with the manager revealing he had suffered a minor injury (via the Express). Arsene Wenger claims the Spaniard is back in training and ready for action though, and could feature against Crystal Palace this weekend (via Arsenal.com).

Mathieu Debuchy is an excellent right-back, and certainly brings experience to our back line. With Nacho Monreal on the other flank however, we are certainly lacking the attacking intent that Bellerin brings to the side.
The 20-year-old arguably proved himself worthy of being our first choice right-back during Debuchy’s lengthy absences last season, and missing one game through injury doesn’t seem like enough to see him stripped of that title.
Our pacy youngster may therefore see a return to action against Alan Pardew’s solid looking Palace side this weekend, a game in which we have a second chance to get our season started.

We looked toothless against West Ham, and our narrow midfield saw us struggle to penetrate an organised Slaven Bilic defence. Bellerin may be part of the solution to that problem, although the team as a whole will have to improve a huge amount if we are to see success at Selhurst Park.
