Reports in France claim that Arsenal are keen on signing Monaco winger Thomas Lemar with the player reportedly open to a move to the Emirates (via GFFN).
The season has only just finished but the transfer news is going into overdrive at the Emirates right now. After news of the £87 million bid for Kylian Mbappe, it seems that Arsenal are also interested in another Monaco player.
Arsene Wenger and Arsenal are reportedly huge admirers of Thomas Lemar and are looking to bring in the impressive winger over the summer.
Lemar is a skilful wide man who best operates from the left-hand side. He is pacy, quality on the ball and dangerous from dead ball situations.
The 21-year-old has enjoyed two excellent seasons at Monaco after a 2015 move from Ligue 1 rivals Caen. He bagged 15 goals in all competitions last season.
Lemar reportedly has two years left on his contract and is considering his options with a number of clubs interested in his services. Both Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are keen on signing the winger who is reportedly keen on a move to the Emirates despite the lack of Champions League football.

It remains to be seen how much truth is in these L’Equipe reports. Thomas Lemar is undoubtedly an exciting player but question marks remain over where he would fit in this system which Arsenal play. The Gunners no longer deploy wingers in the 3-4-2-1 which they currently play which might either see a change in the system or some adaptation from Lemar himself.
