Arsenal chief scout Steve Rowley believes new signing Cohen Bramall’s recent trial was the best he has seen in 30 years.
The youngster has joined the Gunners from non-league Hednesford Town after impressing Arsene Wenger on a recent trial.
Bramall will now join the Under-23 squad with a view to breaking into the first-team and completing a meteoric rise from non-league football to the Premier League.
Lee Payne, the defender’s agent, has now revealed how impressed Arsenal have been by the young left-back already.
“I’ve been doing this a long time and I have been in these situations before, but I was so excited for Cohen,” he said via The Metro.
“Everything just felt right. We went back into the canteen at the end of the session and the chief scout Steve Rowley came over to us.

“He said that in 30 years he had never seen a player come from that level and do what he did.
“It’s a massive credit to Cohen. We’re talking about one of the biggest clubs in the world here. This just doesn’t happen.
“Normally they would compile a three-month report with two or three different scouts and then build a character profile.
“What’s happened with Cohen is unbelievable. It’s surreal.”
Payne’s comments will certainly add to the growing excitement around Bramall with fans hoping that Wenger has spotted a real talent who will go onto have a massive future at Arsenal.
