Julian Draxler is a long term target of ours (via the BBC), with the German youngster looking close to an Arsenal switch on a number of occasions.
We looked set to miss out on the 21-year-old earlier this summer, with Juventus closing in (via the Express). The same report suggests that Schalke have rebuffed the Serie A side’s offer however, as they are hoping to secure a higher fee.
Juventus apparently made an initial £1m offer to take Draxler on loan, with a further £14m come the end of the season if they choose to make the deal permanent (via the Express). The report claims the Bundesliga side are demanding £17.5m for the versatile youngster however, a fee we would easily be able to afford.
The Scudetto winners have apparently turned their attentions to Chelsea flop Juan Cuadrado (via the Express), leaving us free to pursue Draxler if we so choose.
