Arsenal have finally completed the deal to bring Petr Cech to the Emirates Stadium after agreeing a £11million fee with Chelsea, the Daily Mail reports.

It was reported on Sunday that personal terms had been agreed with the 33-year-old and that the fee remained the only stumbling block in arguably the biggest deal so far this summer (via Sky Sports).
However, with Chelsea allowing us to open dialogue with their player, it could easily be interpreted that the two clubs were not far apart in their valuation of the player.

It seems as though those final details have been ironed out and we can finally look forward to welcoming our first signing of the summer.
Internally, this deal certainly feels as defining as the captures of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez given that Arsene Wenger has identified a clear weakness and addressed it by adding a world-class talent.
- Arsenal told ‘no less than £50m’ for top defensive transfer target
- Arsenal keen to sign 16th best ranked Premier League stopper
- Arsenal keeping tabs on €40m Italy star after ‘outstanding’ season
Also, having a player of Cech’s leadership and winning mentality will certainly lift the dressing room and show the players that our club is serious about challenging at the top of the game.
Ozil, Alexis and Cech in three years – not bad.
