According to The Sun, the World Cup winner looks set to put pen to paper on a contract extension that will secure his future at the club.
The report also claims that Ozil’s agents have been trying to find him a move, but with no luck, which means he will now stay with the Gunners.
Ozil is back in training after missing the Community Shield against Chelsea, and could feature in Friday night’s opener against Leicester City.
The Germany international has repeatedly insisted he is happy at Arsenal and that his preference is to remain in north London.
Ozil now looks set to be granted his wish, which will be another boost to the club ahead of the new season.

Arsenal kick off the new campaign on Friday night and will be hoping, unlike in previous seasons, to get off to a flying start after last weekend’s morale-boosting win over Chelsea.
Ozil is not the only player, however, into the final year of his contract and Arsenal will also have to sort out the futures of Jack Wilshere and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain before the close of the transfer window.
Both players have been linked with moves away, although Wenger appears to be keen to keep hold of the Ox, despite interest from Chelsea.
