Arsenal have confirmed that Gedion Zelalem has joined Rangers on loan until January with the 18-year-old expected to gain some valuable experience in Scotland.

The gifted midfielder is set for his first loan spell since joining us at the age of 15 and after his impressive performances for the USA U-20 side at the World Cup, Zelalem looks ready for regular first team football.
After being included in the party which travelled to Singapore, Zelalem was missing from our Emirates Cup squad and it became clear then that he may have to seek first team opportunities elsewhere.
Arsenal transfer news
Zelalem has done exactly that, although Arsene Wenger may have to explain the thinking behind sending him to a club competing in the second tier of Scottish football.

Since making his debut against Coventry in 2014, Zelalem hasn’t exactly developed as quickly as Wenger may have hoped over the past 18-months.
Hopefully, Zelalem can improve during his loan spell and return ready to compete for a first-team place.
