Arsenal have confirmed that two late transfers went through with Joel Campbell and Lucas Perez both leaving the club on loan.
What a topsy-turvy transfer deadline day that was. It ultimately ended in disappointment for Arsenal fans who now know that their club is in a bad way.
The Gunners needed to trim the squad slightly and they certainly did that. Kieran Gibbs and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain both departed and the club have confirmed that two more players left on deadline day.
Forgotten man Joel Campbell has joined La Liga side Real Betis on loan, while Lucas Perez has rejoined Deportivo for the season, also on loan.
Incredibly, it’s the sixth time Joel Campbell has gone out on loan from the Gunners. Campbell has even spent a season on loan at his new side, Real Betis.
Lucas Perez has looked likely to leave the club all summer long and a deal was finally confirmed at the twelfth-hour. The forward rejoined former club Deportivo la Coruna just twelve months after signing for the Gunners from the Spanish outfit.

It’s good that Arsenal managed to get a couple of squad players out of the door. One of the biggest problems at the club right now is its ridiculous wage structure but hopefully, that will soon change.
