The Gunners have been told that £15m will be enough to convince Galatasaray to sell goalkeeper Fernando Muslera, with reports from talkSPORT suggesting that we could firm up our interest in the Uruguay international if we fail to make any further progress with the Petr Cech deal.
Arsenal transfer news
According to the report, Galatasaray have accepted that Muslera will leave the club this summer and are now simply waiting for their asking price to be met.
Arsene Wenger is seemingly desperate to add a new goalkeeper to our ranks during the summer transfer window, with neither David Ospina or Wojciech Szczesny having fully established themselves as the number one this term.
The two players are in another head-to-head battle for a spot in the team ahead of this weekend, with our FA Cup final meeting against Aston Villa still awaiting a decisive selection from Wenger and co (via the Daily Mirror).
Now it appears as if Muslera, 28, could be the answer. He’s played 160 times for the Turkish giants since 2011, winning the league on three occasions, while he’s also won 66 caps for his country.

Muslera is a tidy keeper, but he’s not in Cech’s class. If we’re replacing Ospina and Szczesny, it should be with the Chelsea stalwart and not a stopper who’s never played Premier League football.
