Arsenal are reportedly amongst the favourites to sign former defender Bacary Sagna after his contract with Manchester City expired in the summer (via The Daily Star).
Well, it would hardly be the big name signing many Arsenal fans are looking at it but it could well prove to be a smart one.
Bacary Sagna is a free agent after his Manchester City contract expired in the summer and now, Arsenal are amongst the frontrunners for his signature.
Manchester United, Chelsea and Italian side Torino are all reportedly in the mix for the 34-year-old as well.
Sagna spent seven seasons at Arsenal before his 2014 departure on a free transfer to Manchester City.

The Frenchman made over 280 appearances for Arsenal in those seven years and won the 2014 FA Cup with his team.
He wouldn’t exactly improve the starting IX but Bacary Sagna would be a decent short-term signing for the Gunners. After the departures of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Gabriel Paulista, Mathieu Debuchy is now the only recognised backup to Hector Bellerin. Sagna would provide decent competition and has tremendous experience.
