The transfer window may have only just shut, but already Arsenal are being linked with a series of transfer moves, and this one could even happen before the end of the season.
We’ve been linked today with a strange move for Patrick Olsen, a Danish midfielder recently released by Serie A side Inter Milan.
According to the Metro, we were supposedly interested in the 20 year old last season and Arsene Wenger is still keen on bringing him to the Emirates.
Olsen’s contract was recently terminated with the Italian side and has not yet found another club despite having a trial with Chelsea’s loan farm Vitesse Arnhem.
Whilst we’re on the lookout for a central midfielder, you’d expect, and hope, a better option could be found if we just waited until the summer.

And is someone who can’t get a game with a club in Inter’s disarray really be of a good enough standard for Arsenal?
Either way, with the emergence of Francis Coquelin you’d expect this rumour can be sent directly to the scrap heap as the Frenchman has completely removed our pressing need for midfield reinforcements.
