Arsenal are reportedly monitoring the situation of Bayern Munich playmaker Mario Gotze after his agent criticised the club for an apparent lack of support for his client, the Mirror reports.
Gotze has been the subject of some internal criticism in recent months, with the legendary Franz Beckenbauer accusing him of performing like “a youth player” (via the Daily Mail).
The 23-year-old’s agent clearly feels that there has been a lack of support from inside the club since the criticism of the playmaker began, which has led to talk of a move.
“Of course I would have liked if Mario had felt more support in one or two situations,” agent Volker Struth was quoted as saying.
Gotze captured the globe almost 12 months ago after his sensational strike in extra time won the World Cup for Germany, but he endured another disappointing season with his club.

Despite Bayern winning another Bundesliga title, Gotze was again troubled by injuries and can’t seem to stay consistently fit for the duration of the season.
Our apparent interest in him seems rather lazy, considering the plethora of creative midfielders we have in our squad, all of which are arguably better than the former Borussia Dortmund man.
