Arsenal is known for its free flowing, attack minded, and creative football, so it’s not surprising to hear that three Gunners are among the top eight most creative players in the Premier League this season.
What is surprising however, is seeing Hector Bellerin’s name atop that list, with the young Spaniard currently leading the English top flight for clear-cut chances created (via Sky Sports).
The 20-year-old shot meteorically to stardom last season following successive injuries to Mathieu Debuchy, and doesn’t look like relinquishing his spot anytime soon. He has grabbed his opportunity with both hands, and is quickly becoming one of the best full-backs in the league.
With Arsene Wenger usually preferring to deploy a more naturally central player on the right wing, Bellerin has often been almost entirely responsible for creating width on the right side. He is excellent going forward, evidenced by his six clear cut-chances created so far this season – a clear-cut chance is a chance that a striker really should be putting into the back of the net.
Santi Cazorla and Mesut Özil are not far behind their young teammate, with the creative duo on five and four respectively.

The Barcelona academy product is the only defender on the list, and is miles ahead of his nearest competition.
Having Bellerin on one side and the more defensively minded Nacho Monreal on the other gives us excellent balance, with both players knowing their roles in the side.

He has improved immensely in the defensive department as well though, and is really becoming a top quality right-back. Hopefully he continues in this trend throughout the season, as he looks more than capable of becoming one of the world’s best.
