Arsenal duo Cohen Bramall and Carl Jenkinson are reportedly set to spend the season on loan at Championship side Birmingham City.
According to the Mirror, the club are hoping to complete the deals imminently with both players expected to go straight into the first-team.
Jenkinson has long been linked with a move away after falling down the pecking order, and will surely be eager for regular football.
Bramall, meanwhile, needs minutes to develop his undoubted potential, which looks unlikely currently in the Arsenal first-team.
Harry Redknapp’s side began the season with a 2-1 win over Bristol City, following by a goalless draw at Bolton Wanderers.
However, they were beaten 2-1 by Burton Albion on Friday, which may well have increased their desire to strengthen the squad this summer.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has spoken recently of his need to trim the squad, and has already sanctioned the departure of Gabriel who has joined Valencia.
Further departures can be expected with Kieran Gibbs, Lucas Perez and Mathieu Debuchy also expected to depart, while Jack Wilshere’s future remains the subject of much speculation.
However, Arsenal appear determined to keep hold of Alexis Sanchez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, despite the pair both being in the final year of their contracts and yet to agree extensions.
