Arsenal are eyeing up a move for Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak after the Polish international competed in the UEFA Super Cup on Tuesday as his side lost to Barcelona in an enthralling clash, The Telegraph reports.
According to the report, a delegation representing our club were present at the game which ended 5-4, and we are said to be contemplating triggering his release clause.
Krychowiak, who is a specialist defensive midfielder, has a €30million release clause inserted into his contract according to The Telegraph, and triggering that figure will leave Sevilla powerless to prevent the midfielder joining us.
Following Francis Coquelin‘s emergence, it remained doubtful whether Arsene Wenger was even interested in another defensive midfielder, but that doesn’t seem to be the case, according to the report.

While Krychowiak is more of a destroyer than a deep-lying playmaker, we definitely need another option in that area to provide some competition for the Frenchman.
