Arsenal are reportedly interested in Joe Hart this summer as they seek a long term solution in goal, with Petr Cech drawing plenty of criticism this season, according to Mail.
The report suggests the Gunners will match City’s evaluation believed to be around the £15million mark for the England international who was forced out of the club by new boss Pep Guardiola.
Arsenal currently have David Ospina waiting in the wings for his chance to nail down the No1 spot, and seemingly looks likely to take over from Cech at Hull City this weekend after the retired Czech international produced a woeful performance against former side Chelsea last week.
The Gunners also have Wojciech Szczesny on-loan at Roma however there are question marks as whether the Italian outfit have the option to take on the Pole permanently, so there is another saga in itself.
As for Hart, it seems like a rumour purely based on connecting the dots. Liverpool are also credited with interest in Hart and likely heading the pack at present. Plus the fact that he’s not the most reliable ‘keeper, at 29- years-old he’s closing in on his peak years and that would be a concern.
Arsenal have plenty of decisions to make this summer. Do they promote Ospina to No1 and/or bring back Szczesny? Or do they look to sign a new first choice and seemingly push one or potentially two out of the club.
