Mohamed Elneny has been named Arsenal’s Vitality Player of the Month (via Arsenal.com), and the Egpytian star claims he’s delighted that the fans are showing their love for him.
The 23-year-old has been phenomenal since his arrival and has already cemented his place in the starting XI. He’s formed a fantastic partnership with Francis Coquelin, and is more than deserving of the award.
“I am very happy to be Player of the Month for such a big club,” he told Arsenal Player.
“It feels very good, it will motivate me to have more faith as I play in the team and it shows how the fans love and believe in me.
“It is very helpful to feel that you are loved by the people in the club and the fans – and I still have more to give the team.
“So, I would like to thank all the people who nominated me. This is just the beginning. Hopefully, I will contribute more and more to the team in the future.”

He had some stiff competition this month, with Danny Welbeck and Mesut Özil battling for the award. The former Manchester United man has also been fantastic, scoring freely and being a real presence up front. He’s offered far more than Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott, although that’s not exactly saying a huge amount.
Arsenal transfer news
Elneny has been the perfect addition to our midfield, and has offered us something we’ve really been lacking. He’s got the right mix between attack and defence, and offers us a balance we haven’t had for a while. With Santi Cazorla injured we’ve struggled to find the right pairing, with the likes of Aaron Ramsey and Mathieu Flamini really not performing the way we need them to.
