In a recent survey, 36% of Arsenal fans have called on Arsene Wenger to make a move for Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain as we look to build a squad capable of winning the Premier League, The Evening Standards reports.
As the report suggests a move for Petr Cech is close to completion, but the majority of Arsenal fans clearly want the boss to add a world class striker to our squad as well.
With the creative talent we have at the club coupled with our new-found defensive solidity, our forward line could be the area which needs the most attention.
Alexis Sanchez netted 25 goals in all competitions last season, but a club challenging for the Premier League must have a player capable of reaching that tally in the league alone – something we’ve lacked since the departure of Robin van Persie.
Olivier Giroud has done an admirable job over the past few years, but he’s yet to reach anything close to that tally and will probably never do so.

Not only is Higuain prolific, but the Argentine star is capable of fashioning a chance and scoring without being solely dependent on perfect service.
The signings of Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas won Chelsea the league last season, Cech and Higuain could certainly do the same for us.
