The Evening Standard claimsthat Arsene Wenger is seriously considering bringing in Petr Cech to replace current No.1 Wojciech Szczesny, leading to fierce debates among Gunners fans.
Szczesny hasn’t started a Premier League game since the New Years Day debacle at St Mary’s against Southampton, during which the Polish international gifted the Saints two goals, and reportedly lit-up a cigarette in the showers after the game (via the Mirror).
David Ospina has since taken his place, and even though he has done well, the addition of Cech may see the Colombian unseated.
The situation at rivals Chelsea will force the club to act as Petr Cech is set to move on after being displaced as the club’s first choice starter by the sensational Thibaut Courtois, with the Czech shot-stopper too good to sit on anyone’s bench.
Cech has also this week revealed that his set for a move this summer after a frustrating season (via BBC Sport).

Arsenal transfer news
It seems as though the fans have spoken and according to a recent poll on the Evening Standard, 78% of Arsenal fans want Cech to come in and replace Szczesny.
The Polish international may be young, but when you analyse his goalkeeping rivals, the likes of Courtois and David de Gea, of a similar age, have shown visible progression.
If we’re to win the league anytime soon, then there is no room for sentiment and welcoming a winner like Cech to our dressing room would massively boost our chances.
