Arsenal are reportedly the favourites to land Borussia Dortmund’s highly respected chief scout, Sven Mislintat (via ESPN).
Arsenal have seemingly made more staff appointments in the last few months than in the last five years combined.
This year, the Gunners have already brought in a new fitness coach, a new coach, appointed a new academy chief, a new transfer negotiator and it seems that a new chief scout incoming too,
We reported last week that the club’s chief scout of two decades, Steve Rowley was ready to leave the club and now, his potential replacement has been identified.
Some clubs in Europe just seem to do better business in the transfer market than others. In Spain, there is Sevilla, in Portugal, there is Benfica and in Germany, there is Borussia Dortmund.

Now, the Gunners have been strongly linked with a move for Dortmund’s chief scout, Sven Mislintat.
The German has been responsible for a number of key signings in recent years including superstars like Robert Lewandowski, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ousmane Dembele.
It’s unclear how much truth is in these reports but it’s clear that the Gunners need to do better in the transfer window. The first-team has barely been improved by signings in the last couple of years so perhaps Mislintat is the answer.
